Lawsuit Against Elon Musk's Super PAC: Broken Promises and Retaliation in the 2024 Election Campaign

In the run-up to the 2024 election, Musk’s America PAC launched a bold initiative: paying registered voters $100 per petition signature for supporting Trump’s policies, with an additional $100 for every successful referral of another registered voter.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff relied on this promise, which caused significant harm when the payments were not made as expected. “This case is about a broken promise: Elon Musk promised supporters that they would be paid for signing a petition and referring others to do the same,” Liss-Riordan stated.

“Our client relied on that promise because he believed in Elon, but unfortunately, that promise was not kept. It appears the promise was broken for many others as well.”

The lawsuit paints a troubling picture of a campaign that leveraged the trust of its volunteers and then left them to bear the financial burden. The plaintiff’s emotional distress is also highlighted in the complaint, as he claims that the unfulfilled payments caused him credit damage and health issues due to the financial strain.
