Authorities in Florida are investigating an incident at a motel in Kissimmee where a pizza delivery driver allegedly injured a pregnant woman after a disagreement over a tip.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported that the altercation occurred Sunday evening at the Riviera Motel, just south of Orlando.

The suspect, Brianna Alvelo, 22, has been charged with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

According to officials, the incident began when the victim, staying at the motel with her boyfriend and young daughter, ordered a pizza from Marco's Pizza to celebrate a birthday.

Court documents reveal that the victim paid $50 for a $33 order and requested change. Alvelo reportedly told her she didn’t have change, prompting the victim to search for smaller bills in her wallet and vehicle. Eventually, the victim gave Alvelo a $2 tip, which allegedly led to Alvelo leaving in frustration.

Later that night, Alvelo returned to the motel with an unidentified male accomplice. Both were wearing face masks and reportedly entered the room with a firearm.

Law enforcement officials detained Alvelo the following day. The male accomplice remains unidentified, and the investigation is ongoing.
