President Donald Trump made history as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, and he used the moment to mock pop star Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs after their crushing defeat.
Trump, who attended Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, received loud cheers from the crowd when he was shown on screen during the national anthem. Later in the game, Swift appeared on the jumbotron and was met with overwhelming boos from the audience.

Trump wrote, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
During the game, Trump also posted multiple videos on Truth Social, highlighting the contrast between the crowd’s reaction to him and Swift. Clips showed him receiving cheers while Swift was loudly booed by the audience.
Tensions between Trump and Swift have been ongoing, particularly after the singer endorsed Kamala Harris for president in September. The endorsement quickly drew Trump's ire.
The day after her announcement, Trump appeared on Fox & Friends and stated that he preferred Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, over Swift. Brittany Mahomes has previously shown support for Trump through her social media activity.
